Shelter Incorporated (Private) Limited t/a Shelter Zimbabwe was incorporated in terms of the Companies Act, under registration number 540/1984.

Shelter Zimbabwe is a land and housing development company. Its core business is to deliver serviced and titled residential stands ranging from high, medium, low density stands, core houses, garden flats, agro plots and in the process create the necessary supporting infrastructure such as schools, hospitals, commercial and shopping malls. This is done through strategic partnerships with various landowners ranging from private individuals, corporate organisations, Local Authorities and Government.

The land is subdivided through council approvals with the issuance of a development permit, so as to provide the required road infrastructure, water and sewerage reticulation and any other required services. When the infrastructure has been created, titles deeds are subsequently processed thereby allowing the stand holder the opportunity to proceed with the construction of the house.

Shelter Zimbabwe, therefore co-ordinates the efforts of all professionals, which includes Town Planners, Environmental Impact Assessors, Land and Quantity Surveyors, Civil, Structural and Electrical Engineers, Construction Companies, Local Authorities, Financial Services Sector and others to ensure that the process of housing delivery is carried out successfully.
